Role Overview Provides professional nursing care through independent and delegated medical functions, utilizing specialized knowledge across various specialties including Emergency Room, Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Psychiatry, Urogynecology, Oncology, and Rheumatology. Key Responsibilities Collects pertinent medical history, conducts physical exams, and reviews lab/radiologic data to assess patient conditions.Formulates accurate diagnoses, develops and implements treatment plans, including medication and testing orders.Performs procedures within expertise and organizational policies, ensuring patient safety and care efficiency.Educates patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion with culturally sensitive approaches.Documents all patient care activities thoroughly in medical records.Conducts telehealth encounters, manages emergency situations, and performs administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: 1-2 years of diabetes management experience; endocrinology experience preferred.Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.Must hold or obtain advanced practice licensure and certifications including prescriptive authority, BLS, DEA registration, and CDE/CES certifications within specified timeframes.Strong clinical judgment, patient-centered focus, and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams. Professional Expectations: Maintains licensure, engages in continuing education, participates in quality assurance, and promotes the role of advanced practice nurses within the healthcare team.
