About the role

As an Administrative Volunteer, you'll use your organizational, communication, and customer service skills to support our administrative team and help keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Reception & Customer Service
    • Greet guests and visitors professionally and warmly
    • Answer incoming phone calls
    • Provide front-desk reception support
    • Assist donors and provide donor receipts
    • Help promote Crossroads youth services
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with mail, faxes, scanning, and other office tasks
    • Enter training certificates
    • Contact treatment parents when training is due
    • Assist with scheduling youth clinical appointments
    • Assist with donation tracking
    • Support records management
    • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned
  • Professionalism & Confidentiality
    • Maintain confidentiality and privacy regarding youth, employees, and financial information
    • Communicate professionally with staff, administration, families, donors, and visitors
    • Follow office policies and procedures
    • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail
    • Use sound judgment when handling challenging or sensitive situations

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of word processing and Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic understanding of office procedures and equipment
  • Familiarity with phone systems preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend information
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle routine administrative tasks
  • Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in difficult situations

Required Training

  • Confidentiality/HIPAA

Physical Requirements

This position may require the volunteer to:

  • Sit and walk
  • Use hands and reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and hear
  • Occasionally climb or balance
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, such as donations
