Full-time, non-exempt position supporting the Quality Assurance program within the Administration department.
About the role
The Administrative Assistant, Quality Assurance provides administrative support to Case Management under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Administrator. This role requires strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to identify opportunities for service enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional communication with community, outreach, and support agencies.
- Communicate and adhere to program policies and procedures; model professional rapport in accordance with the Casa Base/Casa Raphael Operations Manual.
- Work with treatment staff to maintain client records to Drug Medi-Cal standards.
- Create and maintain detailed records of documentation and auditing.
- Develop and maintain processes to improve the Substance Use Disorder program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work environment and physical demands
- Sitting at a desk for extended periods.
- Answering or making calls on the telephone for extended periods.
- Using a keyboard for research and written communication for extended periods.
- Looking at a computer monitor for extended periods.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and stooping.
- Exposure to low to moderate noise levels.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of administrative experience.
- Three years of work experience in the substance use disorder field, specializing in Drug Medi-Cal processes.
- Ability to follow confidentiality protocols and protect personal information.
- Ability to organize and prioritize projects and multiple tasks effectively and timely.
- Effective problem-solving and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
- Strong knowledge of the Drug Medi-Cal billing process.
- Strong knowledge of Substance Use Disorder policies and procedures, including County of San Diego BHS and Drug Medi-Cal.
- Strong knowledge of auditing practices for Substance Use Disorder residential programs and Drug Medi-Cal funded programs.
Skills
- Ability to communicate in person and over the phone.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to act as liaison with staff, vendors, contractors, and other entities.
- Knowledge of general office practices.
- Firm understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
- Familiarity with San Diego County database program, Smart Care.
- Experience with principles and practices of data collection and report preparation (preferred).

Pay
$27.00 - $29.00 an hour, commensurate with experience.
