Overview
We are seeking an Administrative Business Partner Specialist to support the growth in our Institutional Retirement Business. The role involves coordinating sales and client meetings, providing coordination for industry conferences and sponsorships, and supporting the IRS Leadership Council.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate sales and marketing meetings for the Second VP – IRS Sales and Distribution leader, including communication and coordination with clients, potential clients, and intermediaries to plan meeting timing and logistics.
- Provide administrative support for Securian’s presence at Retirement industry conferences, which includes coordinating sponsorships and collaborating with the marketing team on conference planning such as booth and marketing materials.
- Coordinate the leader's daily tasks and calendar, gathering information from various sources and exercising judgement when approaching conflicting meetings.
- Resolve routine and sometimes complex inquiries, exercising moderate autonomy in troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Conduct research for senior leaders or individual contributors, compile and summarize information, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare meeting materials by editing and organizing agendas, special reports, presentations, and meeting minutes with general direction from the leader(s).
- Act as a subject matter expert on processes and procedures, coordinating events and functional projects in support of broader function needs.
- Identify opportunities for the use of enhanced technology and act as a liaison for technology.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated administrative support experience, strong service orientation, communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills for effective interaction with various levels of people internally and externally.
- Proven ability to take initiative, with a strong sense of urgency, assertiveness, and willingness to accept a wide range of responsibilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to compose correspondence and other documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and problem-solving while working independently with critical, confidential, and time-sensitive information.
