Administrative Assistant II
Weyerhaeuser’s Greenville, NC lumber facility—a random-length sawmill producing lumber up to 20 feet with specialty capacity—is located in northeastern North Carolina, offering small-town charm, outdoor recreation, and proximity to colleges, shopping, and arts/entertainment in neighboring cities.
Responsibilities
- Enter data for the Daily Production Report and serve as backup administrative support.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the management team.
- Manage and coordinate office communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
- Coordinate office events, meetings, and appointments.
- Accurately input and manage data using office software and databases.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records, both physical and digital.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and vendors, providing excellent customer service.
- Assist with basic financial tasks such as expense tracking and budget monitoring.
- Monitor payroll records to ensure accurate payment to employees.
- Act as a center of expertise for associates’ pay-related questions.
- Manage Log Consumption Daily and adjust as needed (SAP).
- Complete monthly closing for GV & PL mills.
- Support various projects by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues in the office environment.
- Multitask efficiently with a positive attitude and read/understand pay statements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or higher.
- Minimum 1–3 years of administrative experience and/or data analysis and reporting.
- Strong skills with Internet research and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working with highly sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong teambuilding, communication, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to shift priorities and manage time effectively with changing deadlines.
- Professional manner and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent attendance record and tracking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounts payable/receivable experience.
- SAP experience.
- Payroll administration experience.

Pay
Target salary range: $50,000–$75,100, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Eligible for an Annual Incentive Program with a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay (potential funding ranges from zero to two times the target).
