About the role
The Employee Benefits Consulting (EBC) Practice is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist II to provide administrative and onsite office support for the Walnut Creek office while contributing to the broader EBC Administration Support team.
This role is vital to supporting the EBC Practice and ensuring seamless day-to-day administrative and operational coordination across the team. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting business priorities, maintaining efficient office operations, and contributing to a high-quality internal and client service experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with updates to client materials and internal projects.
- Maintain client data, files, records, and archives.
- Coordinate meetings, travel, office events, and internal communications.
- Manage expense reports, invoices, office supplies, and related administrative tasks.
- Support the Walnut Creek office by assisting with mail distribution, supply management, workspace readiness, onsite events and meals, basic equipment support, vendor/building coordination, and routing office-related requests.
- Provide occasional support for Accounts Payable or invoice-related activities based on team and practice needs.
- Complete assigned tasks and support requests under moderate supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration a plus.
- Proven experience in administrative or office support roles; professional services, consulting, or client-service environment helpful but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Location
This is a hybrid position based in the Walnut Creek, CA office. Candidates hired into this role are expected to work onsite at least four days per week, with the understanding that additional in-office presence may be required based on office, team, or business needs.
Pay
The overall salary range for this role is $57,385 - $88,895. A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, and certifications. This is a non-exempt overtime-eligible role; overtime is eligible after 40 hours of work.
Individual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future.
