About the role
Seeking a dedicated Adult Residential Support Professional to provide care and support in a community-based addiction treatment facility.
Responsibilities
- Supporting, monitoring, and serving as a positive role model for residents
- Documenting behaviors and maintaining records
- Assisting with housekeeping, supplies, and medication administration
- Sharing client updates while maintaining confidentiality
- Responding to emergencies and supporting treatment goals
- Leading educational activities, providing basic first aid, and assisting with life skills and transportation
- Collecting specimens and conducting breathalyzer tests as needed
- Attending meetings and training sessions
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; coursework toward a bachelor’s in social work or related fields may be preferred
- Previous experience preferred
- Strong reading, writing, math, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow directions, maintain boundaries, and work collaboratively
- Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to pass motor vehicle check
- Basic computer skills; DHS 83 training preferred but required after hire
Additional Requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform outdoor tasks
- Ability to work in a community setting with moderate noise levels
- Travel up to 25–50% for day trips
