About the role
Under supervision, you will provide care, support, and monitor residents in addiction treatment programs, serving as a positive role model.
Responsibilities
- Document resident behaviors and maintain records
- Assist with housekeeping and supplies
- Administer medications per policy
- Share updates with external partners while maintaining confidentiality
- Respond to emergencies or crises
- Support residents in achieving treatment goals
- Attend staff meetings and training
- Help with meal prep, grocery shopping, and teaching life skills
- Transport residents to appointments and activities
- Collect urine specimens and administer breathalyzer tests
- Lead educational group activities
- Provide basic first aid and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience preferred
- Strong reading, writing, math, problem-solving, following directions, and maintaining professionalism are essential
- Effective communication skills
- Flexible, patient, and collaborative
- Valid driver’s license preferred; must pass motor vehicle check
- DHS 83 training preferred but required after hire
