ABA Technician (Somerville, MA)
About the Role
Join Northeast Arc as a Behavior Therapist in one or more of our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs. We provide services in a variety of locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts to individuals ranging from 15 months to 22 years old. Our ABA services offer a continuum of consistent evidence-based direct care for children, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Individualized treatment programs are developed by a Board-Certified Licensed Behavior Analyst (BCBA/LABA) based on assessments, consultation, and person-centered plans.
Service Area: Somerville and surrounding towns, including Boston, Brookline, Everett, Revere, and Chelsea.
Job Type: Full-time or part-time, onsite in home, community, or center.
Responsibilities
- Provide home, community, and clinic-based support to individuals 15 months to 20 years old.
- Teach goals and skills outlined in the treatment plans and implement behavior strategies developed by the BCBA (clinical supervisor).
- Attend and contribute to clinical and non-clinical meetings, trainings, and individual supervisions.
- Complete required session notes, data, and any additional non-clinical paperwork.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, or a related field (Registered Behavior Certification may substitute the education requirement).
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, able to maintain confidentiality, and high degree of professionalism.
- Valid Driver’s license and own personal vehicle.
- Ability to drive, walk, stand, and climb stairs in office, community-based, and home-based settings.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Pay
$23–$26 per hour.
