6011-08 Direct Support Professional

Part-time position, 24 hours per week.

Sun, Fri, Sat 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay

$17.50–$19.00 per hour. Paid training provided by Venture. Sign-on bonus available for residential direct care roles.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for and support adults (22+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to be as active in their lives as possible.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal preparation, shopping, personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing), and other daily living activities.
• Support individuals in attending medical appointments, banking, and community activities or outings.
• Administer medications and follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
• Safely evacuate individuals from the home in emergencies.
• Maintain certifications and comply with agency policies and DDS regulations.

Qualifications

• Commitment to assisting individuals with disabilities in fully participating in their community and personal lives.
• Varied interests and connections in the local community.
• Proven record of conscientious and responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history).
• Ability to work creatively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (daily use of a car on-site preferred but not required).
• Must be available by telephone for daily contact.
