About the Role

This position is for a Special Education Generalist in a self-contained classroom setting within the Resource Room program at Foothill High School, located in Henderson.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom environment.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, staff, and administrators.
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada Department of Education license with appropriate special education endorsement (Generalist or equivalent).
• Completion of a full seven-year job history, including periods of unemployment, in the "Experience and Credential" section of the application.
