About The Role
The Senior Pantry Coordinator is a working lead role responsible for the day-to-day operations of the on-site pantry while overseeing a team of three coordinators. This individual is expected to be hands-on — actively completing stocking, organizing, and service tasks alongside the team — while also ensuring the team operates efficiently, meets performance standards, and stays on track. The Senior Coordinator is a doer first, with added responsibility for team oversight and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pantry, market, and backstock areas
- Stock and rotate pantry inventory, ensuring all items are fresh and within expiration dates
- Maintain full knowledge of the menu and product assortment
- Order and receive pantry supplies
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low
- Set up and replenish self-serve food and beverage stations
- Keep all equipment clean and in good working order
- Monitor the pantry area to ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and guests
- Assist with special events and catering requests
- Oversee daily operations of a three-person team, including task delegation and ensuring responsibilities are completed accurately and on time
- Serve as the first point of escalation for team questions or operational issues before elevating to management
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff
- Set and track staff and department deadlines
- Mentor and coach as needed. Ensure support provided by the team is efficient and consistent
- Suggest process improvement efforts on a regular basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior food and beverage experience required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong customer service mindset and professional presence
- Prior experience in a lead or senior role preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while balancing individual and oversight responsibilities
- Participation in food preparation and cleaning duties, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
