Workforce Analytics Consultant – HR Reporting & Analytics
About the role
Mutual of Omaha is seeking a Workforce / People Analytics Consultant to translate complex workforce questions into clear, actionable insights that drive people strategy and business performance across Mutual of Omaha.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HR leaders and business partners to understand key priorities, gather requirements, and define scalable reporting and analytics solutions that support decision-making across the organization.
- Convert complex or ambiguous business questions into measurable metrics, structured reporting requirements, and meaningful insights that help leaders make informed decisions.
- Conduct analysis on workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and key drivers impacting attraction, retention, engagement, and overall workforce effectiveness.
- Build, enhance, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide clear, actionable insights, ensuring solutions are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned to business needs.
- Establish strong working relationships across HR and the business, influencing adoption of reporting tools and promoting a data-driven culture.
- Audit and rationalize existing reports, eliminate redundancies, and support data governance practices to ensure consistent definitions, quality, and appropriate use of HR data.
- Evaluate existing reporting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and standardize approaches through automation and better design.
- Explore and apply modern technologies, including AI and advanced analytics tools, to improve reporting efficiency, enhance insights, and evolve analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience in HR functional areas to deeply understand processes and data.
- Experience with HR data and workforce metrics.
- Experience building reports in Workday, Visier, Tableau, or Power BI, or similar analytics/visualization platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships at multiple levels.
- Displays a proactive approach to addressing change, adaptability to various assignments, and a willingness to learn and apply new skills and technologies.
Qualifications
- Degree or applied background in HR, Business, Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or I/O Psychology.
- Experience in HR analytics or HR technology.
- Experience with Workday, Visier, Tableau, or Power BI. Visier (preferred); Workday or comparable cloud HCM platform experience a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile or SDLC.
- Strong quantitative skills.

Benefits
Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): $85,000 - $97,000, plus annual bonus opportunity. 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications): $85,000 - $97,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
