Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster

About the role

We're seeking a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster who will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and managing claims from start to finish. The ideal candidate will also build strong relationships with various stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and proactively manage workers compensation claims from start to finish.
• Negotiate settlements and drive claims toward successful resolution.
• Build strong relationships with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and attorneys.
• Make thoughtful, timely decisions while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• Contribute to a collaborative team focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in workers compensation claims or a related insurance, claims, or risk management role is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Critical thinking and the confidence to make sound, independent decisions.
• Effective negotiation skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
• A genuine desire to learn, grow, and expand your insurance industry expertise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends.

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

A hybrid work schedule based out of the South Sioux City, NE office with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
