About the Role
Ambassadors will grow and develop customer service skills by providing students and the general public community support and assistance. They will learn to understand student and community needs and provide professional assistance to students and the community in support of student success. Ambassadors will develop relationships with new and continuing students at Tri-C while encouraging and supporting their success at the college.
Ambassadors will further develop a professional work ethic while serving as the first level of contact with the community and students looking to Tri-C as their future school. They will assist with monitoring and providing assistance to students, faculty/staff, and community members at the on-campus information desks.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to students during peak periods
- Assist students with My Tri-C Space
- Provide campus tours
- Assist with on- and off-campus events such as open houses, New Student Orientation (NSO), college fairs, and high school visits
- Participate in leadership programs and attend student success workshops
- Represent the college at orientations, campus tours, school visits, community outreach, and other events
- Help in the recruitment, retention, and success of future and prospective students
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to work on campus
- Must have completed at least 6 credit hours at Tri-C
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Adhere to the College’s confidentiality policy
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
