Wireline Telecom Area Manager

About the role

MasTec Communications Group offers the opportunity to be part of an engaging and growing industry. As a Wireline Telecom Area Manager, you will join the engineering management team, providing strong leadership, project management, and accountability to a team of construction professionals. The role involves delivering engineering, construction, design, and management solutions to meet the growing telecommunications needs across the United States.

Key focus areas include people leadership, project management, budget and financial responsibility, and experience with Frontier (design, operations, construction, etc.). An understanding of DEEP buildout, buried drops, specialty bore operations, and pole replacements is preferred. Strong team-building, customer-facing skills, and Oracle software experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Outside Plant Engineers (Project Coordinators).
• Assign and oversee projects to team members, monitor projects for timely completion, and ensure a high level of quality is met.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team members.
• Maintain a monthly financial forecast for project management.
• Oversee construction projects from start to finish while mentoring team members for success.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software.
• Relevant MOS Codes: 12166, 62E1G, 12A, 12N, 12T.

Pay

$85,000–$109,000, depending on experience.
