About the Role
The Wellness Nurse (LPN/RN) supports the Resident Services Director in delivering, coordinating, and supervising resident care services within a senior living community.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Resident Services staff, including CNAs, and assist with staffing, training, and performance management.
- Oversee medication management and support residents with self-administration.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and physicians.
- Assist with resident assessments, service plans, and clinical recertifications.
- Participate in training, in-service programs, and ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
- Support high resident satisfaction and provide coaching to staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supervision during care delivery.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in relevant state(s).
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care.
- Experience working with seniors preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and assist with resident transfers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster positive relationships.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and possibly other shifts or extended hours.
- Ability to handle infectious waste and manage emotionally upset residents.
- Good physical and emotional health.
