Weekend CNA - Part Time

Role Summary

The home care aide provides direct patient care in clients' residences, supporting daily living activities, personal hygiene, and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Support transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote safety and comfort.
• Follow care plans and perform prescribed exercises as instructed by healthcare professionals.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities suited to their needs.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Record and report changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions accurately.
• Complete tasks using EVV apps and adhere to assigned schedules.
• Ensure confidentiality, uphold patient rights, and report any abuse or neglect immediately.
• Assist clients in maintaining independence within their capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and standing.
• Compassionate attitude toward patient care.

Additional Details

The role involves travel within a designated area, with physical demands including lifting approximately 50 lbs. The position requires flexibility regarding hours and caseload, with no guaranteed employment duration.
