About the role
Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for weekend home care services, with duties primarily in patients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care.
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Delivering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and special diets.
- Offering companionship and engaging activities.
- Performing light housekeeping duties.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in client's condition.
- Following the Plan of Care strictly, without administering medications.
- Using equipment like blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes as needed.
- Ensuring client safety, confidentiality, and privacy.
Qualifications and skills
- Maintaining certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting (~50 lbs.), bending, and standing.
- A sympathetic attitude toward patient care.
- Dependability, adaptability to client needs, and teamwork.
- Physical demands and travel within the area are involved.
