About the role
Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) providing home care services to patients in their residences.
Responsibilities
- Providing personal hygiene care such as bathing, shaving, hair, and mouth care
- Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Delivering basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision
- Preparing meals considering client preferences and special diets
- Offering companionship and engaging in activities tailored to individual needs
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting changes in patient conditions
- Completing tasks via EVV app or time sheet, demonstrating dependability and punctuality
- Supporting client independence within their abilities
- Upholding patient confidentiality, reporting abuse or neglect, and following the care plan
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following directions
- Physical ability to lift approximately 50 lbs, bend, and stand
- Sympathetic attitude towards patient care
