About the role
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for home care services to provide direct patient care in clients' residences.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene, transfers, ambulation, and basic nursing tasks as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare meals considering dietary needs
- Offer companionship and engage in activities
- Perform light housekeeping
- Maintain accurate records and report changes in patients' conditions
- Adhere to the established Plan of Care
Qualifications
- Current certification
- Effective communication skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting
- Compassionate attitude towards patients
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
Skills & Duties
- Dependable and punctual
- Adaptable to client and family values
- Capable of working independently within the scope of care
Equipment used includes blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes, and physical demands may involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
Note: No medication administration is involved.
The role requires travel within a designated area, with duties assigned based on client needs and caseload.
