Weekend CNA - Part-Time

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in clients' homes, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic nursing tasks.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping duties and maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' physical or psychosocial conditions.
• Follow the Plan of Care strictly, avoiding medication administration.
• Ensure confidentiality, patient privacy, and uphold patients' rights.
• Use designated equipment such as blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes.
• Travel within assigned area; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Maintain active certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication skills, ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Physical capability to perform tasks like lifting, bending, and standing.
• Compassionate attitude towards patient care.

This role involves working within varied home environments, requires dependability, and teamwork to ensure quality care. Travel within a designated area is necessary.
