About the role
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides in-home patient care, supporting clients with daily living activities and healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
- Support transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote mobility and safety.
- Deliver basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities based on their interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report changes in clients' conditions.
- Follow the care plan, ensure confidentiality, and uphold patient rights.
- Use equipment such as blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and transportation aids.
- Adhere to EVV documentation requirements and demonstrate dependability in reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Maintain valid certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and following instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care and respecting client privacy.
This role involves physical demands and travel within a designated area. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and compassionate care delivery.
