Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
- Administer basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
- Prepare meals aligned with client preferences and dietary needs.
- Offer companionship and engage in activities tailored to individual interests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records, report changes in patient condition, and follow the care plan.
- Use EVV systems to document tasks and ensure punctuality and dependability.
- Assist clients to promote independence within their abilities.
- Uphold patient confidentiality, respect patient rights, and report concerns such as abuse or neglect.
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Effective communication skills, including reading and following instructions.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting approximately 50 lbs, bending, and standing.
- Sympathetic attitude toward patient care.
