Weekend CNA

About the role

Seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide home care services, primarily on weekends. The role involves delivering direct patient care in clients' residences, supporting daily living activities, and assisting with mobility, hygiene, and basic nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene and daily living assistance, including bathing, grooming, and mouth care.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to promote client safety and comfort.
• Implement prescribed exercises and basic nursing care as instructed by healthcare professionals.
• Prepare meals considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests.
• Perform light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observe/report changes in clients' conditions.
• Use EVV systems to document tasks and ensure accountability.
• Adhere strictly to the Plan of Care, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety; do not administer medications.

Qualifications & Skills

• Maintain valid certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Effective communication and ability to follow directions.
• Physical capability to perform tasks, including lifting and standing.
• Compassionate attitude towards patient care and respect for client values.

The role requires dependable, punctual performance, adaptability to various client environments, and the ability to work within the scope of practice to promote client independence. Travel within designated areas is necessary.
