About the Role

The Traffic Control Foreman manages traffic control crews, materials, and equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and project schedules. This role involves supervising, leading, and inspecting crews in road striping, pavement marking, and the fabrication and installation of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices.

Responsibilities

  • Create and complete a job safety analysis daily to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Oversee crew activities efficiently and manage their training, development, and work assignments.
  • Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications for specific duties.
  • Manage tools, materials, supplies, and equipment utilization.
  • Address site production issues promptly.
  • Report crew hours accurately on daily timesheets.
  • Install and maintain project traffic control devices according to project documents.
  • Record and maintain documentation of traffic devices and repairs per company policy.
  • Comply with all safety policies and report unsafe activities.
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership through example and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building highways/roads.
  • Less than high school diploma.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • OSHA10/30 certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
