About the Role

The Traffic Superintendent will oversee heavy civil construction projects from start to finish, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, reinforcing Webber’s strong safety culture, and supporting the company’s goal of zero recordable safety incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Use signs or devices to direct traffic.
  • Assemble, position, and clean devices or equipment used to direct traffic.
  • Communicate verbally, in English and Spanish, with the public.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Perform other unlisted duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and tunnels.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • MOT Supervisor (GDOT) Certification via WTCS preferred; otherwise, company-provided training will be required.
  • Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to move throughout a construction jobsite, including navigating minor obstacles such as climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day-to-day tasks of a primarily productive/technical nature.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
  • Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind.
