Water Project Manager

Responsibilities

Serve as Project Manager for drinking water and water infrastructure projects, guiding work through the full project lifecycle
Lead water/wastewater project delivery including planning, design, and construction administration
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality (QA/QC) across projects
Build and maintain strong client relationships with municipalities and agencies
Identify and pursue new project opportunities and business development efforts
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and project teams
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success
Ensure projects deliver high-quality, practical, and constructible solutions

Requirements

Basic Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical or environmental engineering or related field
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Utah or ability to obtain within 6 months
Experience with water treatment design and project delivery
Proven ability to manage projects, clients, and teams simultaneously
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to clients
Experience or interest in business development and client growth

Qualifications

All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred

15+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systems
Proven client relationships

Physical Ability

To walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
Occasionally inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
May require wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
Occasionally required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
