Water Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects to include planning, study, design, and construction administration
  • Manage performance and provide mentorship of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians
  • Maintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective/new clients
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments
  • Cook up and attend internal and external meetings

Requirements

  • Basic Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 8+ years consulting experience in water
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
  • Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members
  • Prior project management experience

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field preferred
  • 10+ years consulting experience for municipal water/wastewater systems
  • Proven client relationships
  • Knowledge of CDPHE design standards
  • Knowledge of CDPHE water regulations and permitting

Skills

  • Physical ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasional climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling light to moderate amounts of weight
  • Inspection of equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • Occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May require occasional overnight stays out of town

Pay

Anticipated Starting Salary: $98,100 to $119,900 DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, etc.)
