Warehouse Group Leader

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability of warehouse workers, adjusting orders as needed.
• Collaborates with switcher to arrange trailer lineup for efficient switch-outs and loading.
• Collaborates with shipping clerk to transport trailers and products between levels.
• Generates BOLs and other documents as required.
• Leads and develops warehouse associates.
• Determines trailer loading sequences based on arrival and due dates.
• Evaluates orders for accuracy and ensures proper trailer loading.
• Coordinates movement of products between basement and main warehouse areas.
• Maintains cleanliness of conveyor belt, elevator, and other warehouse equipment.
• Conducts cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Trains new and re-trains employees on new skills.
• Assists in resolving operational issues as backup for absent associates.
• Completes additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of shipping experience.
• Experience in order selecting and material handling.
• Certification to operate a cherry picker, forklift, and pallet jack.
• RF unit experience.
• Experience in employee training.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
• Proven time management and task prioritization skills.
