Warehouse - Group Leader

About the role

The Herff Jones Cap and Gown team, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking Seasonal Warehouse Associates to join their team. This role reports to the warehouse supervisor and involves responsibilities such as pulling, packing, and inspecting graduation apparel orders.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and quality standards for the operation
• Train and direct new personnel
• Learn about all product lines and processes in the warehouse
• Select material by quality standards, colors, styles, and shades
• Recognize colors and different cloth styles

Requirements

• Self-motivated
• Adequate computer skills
• Reading, writing, and math skills commensurate with job duties
• Physical strength and dexterity to perform essential job functions
• Able to recognize colors and different cloth styles
• Able to work all mandatory overtime
• Able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Regularly lift/move up to 30 lbs
• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling for an 8-10 hour shift required

Skills

• Ability to work all mandatory overtime
