About the role
A well-established distribution company in Kent, WA is seeking a Warehouse Branch Manager to oversee daily warehouse and distribution center operations. This position offers potential for career growth in a stable and expanding company.
Responsibilities
- Control and manage inventory with 99% accuracy
- Enforce company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures with HR support
- Ensure orders arrive on-time with correct quantities
- Implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects
- Develop and improve warehouse team performance
- Maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
- Manage all warehouse operations, including receipt, coordination, and safety of goods
- Schedule and assign team members
- Lead teambuilding and motivation of warehouse staff with HR assistance
- Select, orient, train, appraise, coach, counsel, mentor, and discipline employees with HR support
- Perform general inspections of warehouse equipment
- Manage P&L responsibilities and remote staff (site coordinators)
- Oversee LTL/TL and small parcel shipping, safety programs, and ISO 9001 compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations or distribution management
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred: Lean or Six Sigma experience
- Must be willing to drive a company truck when needed
Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Microsoft Teams
- Experience with Epicor, WMS, and Customer TMS transportation portals
- Ability to drive change and continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong delegation skills to maximize employee potential
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports
- Ability to organize resources and establish priorities
- Certification to operate powered industrial lift trucks
- Ability to work in a team environment and build positive working relationships
- Self-directed with high personal organization and drive
- Customer-focused attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements
- Working knowledge of warehouse processes, policies, and procedures
- Experience with VMI and managing remote staff

$82,000 to $92,000 per year
