About the role

The Group Leader position is an advancement from Senior Operator position, requiring completion of all core tasks from the previous levels. Guide and direct all aspects of materials management operations safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. Provide comprehensive oversight of daily operations, ensuring all activities align with safety protocols and operational efficiency standards. Prioritize regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and proactive incident prevention to safeguard personnel, facility assets, and environmental compliance. Enforces compliance with all departmental, corporate, and regulatory policies, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), environmental regulations, and safety guidelines. Promotes a culture of learning and accountability among staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in operational standards. Responsible for operational scheduling, supervising and controlling operations that support research, development, production and other related departments. Understands preventive controls and monitoring systems to rapidly detect and address compliance gaps. Prepares for and supports regular audits by external agencies (such as EPA and FDA) and internal teams, always maintaining records and readiness. Instills a culture of accountability and preparedness among all staff. Able to fill-in, execute and perform roles of Senior Group Leader as necessary.
