About the role
Olympic Medical Center is located on the beautiful North Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. It is bordered by Olympic National Park, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the Pacific Coast, with Seattle and Victoria, BC nearby.

Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care to patients in their place of residence as prescribed by the physician.
- Keeps the Case Manager RN informed about patient progress, recommended actions, and physician orders.
- Plans for the next visits based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Applies full working knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
- Makes independent decisions in complex and diverse work situations under general supervision.
- May be required to perform tasks under emergency conditions, such as patient resuscitation in the home.
- Has contact with patients under various circumstances and is subject to unpredictable situations.
- Occasionally works irregular hours.
- Maintains a keen awareness of personal safety.
- Provides on-call support as assigned for patients.
- Participates in on-call rotation on a voluntary basis.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of one year recent experience in home health, acute care, or long-term care preferred.
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Valid Washington State driver’s license required.
- Proof of insurance on automobile used for work required.
- Driving record in compliance with OMC standards required.

- Full working knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make independent decisions in complex and diversified work situations.
- Keen awareness of personal safety.
- Ability to work irregular hours and occasionally work on-call.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of home health care procedures and protocols.
- Basic computer skills for accessing patient records and scheduling.
