About the role
The Registered Nurse at Adara Home Health, Inc. provides comprehensive client care as assigned by the Case Manager, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, professional nursing standards, and company policies. Reporting directly to the Clinical Supervisor, this role requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill.
Responsibilities
- Plans, provides, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures, consulting with the Case Manager for any changes in the care plan.
- Demonstrates knowledge of current health practices during observation and evaluation of client care.
- Provides total client care including medications, treatments, physical and psychological care, and client/family education.
- Works with families and other healthcare professionals to maintain continuity of client care.
- Affirms and interprets symptoms, implements remedial measures within legal limits, and reports significant changes in client condition to the Case Manager immediately.
- Exercises professional judgment in adapting nursing measures to changing client needs.
- Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team members and participates in scheduled client conferences.
- Follows infection control policies, including proper hand washing techniques.
- Maintains accurate clinical records, preparing clinical and progress notes with timely record keeping.
- Maintains confidentiality of all client, family, and employee information.
- Maintains a safe client environment and reports suspected abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation to the office.
- Promotes a positive client and employee service image.
- Accepts assignments and participates in the after-hours on-call process to ensure client care and staffing issues are resolved.
Requirements
- Currently licensed as an R.N. in the state of Minnesota, with no revoked, suspended, or restricted licenses.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a health care setting, with acute hospital or home care experience preferred.
- Ability to make appropriate nursing judgments.
- Good interpersonal communication and teaching skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proof of negative Mantoux or documentation of negative chest X-ray.
- CPR certification highly recommended.
- Access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation for daily business stops.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance for company business.
- U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.
- Disclosure of any conviction and criminal history records related to health services.
Qualifications

Pay
The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Salary is determined by various factors including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
Schedule
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday with an on-call rotation. The position requires travel to client's homes for 1-3 hour sessions, necessitating heavy to very heavy physical demands.
