Overview

The Vice President, Group Account Director serves as the strategic and operational lead for a key indication within a large, high-profile DTC business. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the account, including client partnership, financial stewardship, team leadership, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior strategic and business lead for a key DTC indication
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders, providing strategic counsel and helping clients navigate complex business challenges
  • Champion the brand vision and inspire teams to deliver work that drives meaningful outcomes for the business and the patients it serves
  • Lead and develop a high-performing account team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth
  • Partner across strategy, creative, media, analytics, and medical disciplines to deliver integrated, insight-driven solutions
  • Turn complexity into clarity, helping teams and clients align around priorities, opportunities, and actions
  • Guide the development of annual brand planning, marketing initiatives, and strategic recommendations
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets client objectives, drives impact, and strengthens agency partnerships
  • Own the financial health of the business, including forecasting, resource planning, budgeting, and profitability
  • Identify opportunities to expand agency partnerships and drive organic growth within the account
  • Anticipate business, market, and client challenges, developing proactive solutions that keep teams moving forward
  • Foster operational excellence by ensuring effective ways of working, strong communication, and seamless collaboration across teams
  • Serve as a thought leader for the brand, indication, and broader healthcare landscape

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in client services, including pharmaceutical advertising experience
  • 3-4 years of DTC experience required
  • 5+ years of experience leading, managing, and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships with senior clients and serve as a strategic business advisor
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated brand initiatives and delivering meaningful business results
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, staffing, and profitability
  • Ability to turn complexity into clarity, translating business challenges into actionable solutions
  • Proven track record of identifying opportunities for growth and expanding client partnerships
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders
  • Collaborative leader who brings curiosity, courage, and a commitment to developing talent

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
