Vice President, Business Development - Healthcare

About the Role

In this role, you will engage in the market as an industry expert focused on helping us continue building our presence within the Healthcare Payer and Provider space, selling Healthcare CXM, digital solutions, and services. A key objective is to identify and evaluate new partnerships. You will be tactical and thoughtful, leveraging intimate knowledge and experience in the Healthcare space to engage potential clients with their organization's long-term strategy and operations in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Nurture and grow relationships with healthcare clients by understanding their needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions.
  • Actively seek and acquire new clients for healthcare services, including hospitals, clinics, healthcare providers, and other relevant organizations.
  • Leverage prior knowledge of similar services to effectively position Teleperformance’s features, benefits, and competitive advantages in the marketplace.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize market penetration.
  • Demonstrate healthcare services to clients using strong presentation skills, addressing their specific requirements and showcasing the value proposition.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build relationships, stay informed about industry developments, and generate leads.
  • Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements with healthcare clients, ensuring terms are favorable for both parties.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Conduct market research to understand healthcare industry trends, the competitive landscape, and identify potential clients.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback to inform strategic decision-making using the TP CRM system – Salesforce.
  • Ensure all sales activities adhere to healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and maintain a high level of customer service to foster long-term relationships.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and projections based on market trends, client feedback, and other relevant factors.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the healthcare industry, including new technologies, regulations, and market dynamics, to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targets set by the organization.

First Year Key Objectives

  • Develop a business development strategy to engage an identified target list based on assigned accounts and utilizing your digital rolodex.
  • Qualify 12 opportunities per year with the goal of closing 3-4 deals annually.
  • Build confidence and trust with accounts through close partnerships and by repeatedly delivering “as promised.”
  • Optimize internal relationships with sales support and Client Services.

Qualifications

  • Passion for selling into and building relationships in the Healthcare Industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred.
  • 8+ years of successful enterprise sales experience within the Healthcare industry, specifically targeting Payer/Provider.
  • 8+ years of experience in a customer acquisition, client-facing role with a track record in account growth and creating strategies that exceed business goals.
  • Experience in the BPO environment selling services such as: Member Enrollment; Member Support; Medical Coding; Medical Record Management; Charge Capture; Medical Billing and Payment Processing.
  • Strategic critical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in pricing, contract negotiations, and proactive, thoughtful proposals.
  • Business development, sales, and origination experience across multiple geographies, ideally in the Healthcare industry.
  • A robust network of contacts and a strong understanding of Healthcare customers.
  • Good understanding of CX-related digital technologies; Digital Transformation experience is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation and business management skills.
  • Analytical thinking, proactive attitude, and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Extensive experience selling into and presenting to the highest-level decision-makers (C-level Executives).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a teamwork mindset.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to be productive, accountable, and work under tight deadlines when needed.
