Veterinary Practice Manager
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brentwood, TN is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.
About the role
The Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital by handling the day-to-day operations of the practice to enable the staff to provide the best level of veterinary care to our customers. You will mentor, develop, and lead a team of 30+ hourly and professional team members, partnering with and overseeing the doctor team, medical team, and client service representatives to guide them to the next level of development. You will guide financial and strategic business development to achieve hospital profitability, expertly handle the primary care DVM and patient referral base with sensitivity, and develop intra-staff relationships while ensuring compliance with HR-related issues and state, federal, and local employment laws.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 30+ hourly and professional staff to excel in patient care and customer service.
- Oversee the doctor team, medical team, and client service representatives, guiding their professional growth.
- Drive financial and strategic business development to achieve hospital profitability.
- Manage relationships with primary care DVMs and patient referrals with a high level of sensitivity.
- Address HR-related issues and ensure compliance with state, federal, and local employment laws.
- Perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all business relationships.
- Utilize MS Office Suite and internet applications effectively.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven success in managing professionals in complex organizations, such as veterinary/human medicine, hospitality, or client services industries.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) designation a plus.
- Excellent time management, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong business judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.

Pay
$88,000–$125,000 per year.
