Veterinary Practice Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily hospital operations to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient and client experiences
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of veterinary professionals, fostering accountability and professional growth
  • Partner with the Medical Director to support high-quality patient care and hospital initiatives
  • Provide hands-on assistance throughout the hospital as needed
  • Manage staff scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor financial performance, hospital metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and retain talented team members
  • Promote a positive, team-focused culture built on communication, collaboration, and compassion

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or a customer service-focused environment
  • Veterinary practice experience strongly preferred; veterinary technician experience is a plus
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software and basic financial reporting
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while leading with professionalism, empathy, and accountability
