Veterinary Practice Manager

About the role

The Practice Manager at BluePearl Pet Hospital is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice to ensure the highest level of veterinary care and customer service. They are expected to mentor, develop, and lead a team of professionals and hourly workers, manage the financial and strategic aspects of the hospital, and build strong relationships with clients and doctors.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, develop, and lead a team of professionals and hourly workers to excel in patient care and team focus.
• Partner and oversee the doctor team, medical team, and client service representatives, guiding them to the next level of development.
• Guide the financial and strategic business development to achieve hospital profitability.
• Handle the primary care DVM and patient referral base with a high level of sensitivity.
• Develop intra-staff relationships with a command of HR-related issues and state, federal, local legal compliance of relevant employment law.
• Participate in additional responsibilities relative to the position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• CVPM designation a plus.
• 3-5 years of proven success in managing professionals in complex organizations, either within veterinary/human medicine, hospitality, or client services industries.

• Excellent time management, follow through, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks simultaneously, giving great attention to detail.
• Ability to deal effectively with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Skill in using MS Office Suite and internet (Google) applications.

Pay

$80,000 - $109,000/year. This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.
