Veterinary Emergency Service Head

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a full-time Emergency Service Head Veterinarian (ERSH) to work alongside the ER Clinicians, Specialists, and Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Directly impact patient care through clinical practice and leadership
• Mentor and support the ER clinician team
• Schedule, hire, and train team members
• Lead team meetings and represent the ER department in hospital leadership
• Ensure high-quality patient care and foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment

Requirements

• DVM from an accredited university required
• Successful completion of rotating internship or BluePearl’s EmERge program required
• 2+ years of clinical experience required
• Possess valid applicable DVM licensure
• Demonstrate capacity to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Prior shift lead experience preferred
• Show strong leadership ability with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Show demonstrated stress tolerance and attention to detail
• Show strong ability to mentor and train less experienced clinicians and interns

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed veterinarian in good standing
