Veterinarian Criticalist

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital, New York, is seeking a full-time boarded or residency-trained Critical Care Veterinarian to join their state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency medicine, cardiology, critical care, dermatology and allergy treatment, internal medicine, soft tissue, minimally invasive, and orthopedic surgery, oncology, radiology, and anesthesiology services.
• Participate in the renovation of the hospital facilities, including the recent completion of a 64-slice CT, upgrades to multiple ultrasound units, and digital radiology.
• Collaborate with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care to pets.
• Contribute to the hospital's educational initiatives and continuing education programs.

Requirements

• Board certification or residency training in critical care veterinary medicine.
• Experience in emergency and critical care medicine.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $196,000 to $256,000. Additionally, you may be eligible to earn certain production as determined in accordance with company policy.

Schedule

Full-time schedule with 24/7 coverage.
