Veterinarian Criticalist

About the role

The patient is at the center of all we do. We strive for excellence in medical care with a collaborative, teamwork approach. Our Criticalists manage in-house cases while also admitting ER cases from time to time. We encourage direct same day transfer of cases from our referring community.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-house critical care cases
• Admit and manage ER cases from time to time
• Directly transfer cases from referring community
• Collaborate with board-certified specialists in Critical Care and Internal Medicine
• Work a rotating schedule of swing shifts, overnights, and weekends
• Support full-time surgeon who is in the hospital 4 days a week with on-call availability

Requirements

• Current DVM degree
• Board certification in Critical Care
• Experience in emergency and critical care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
