About the role

BluePearl Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a full-time boarded Veterinarian - Criticalist or an individual residency-trained in emergency and critical care to join our large and talented team!

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with a team of board-certified clinicians in various specialties.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education sessions and BluePearl University.
  • Contribute to the growth of the critical care department through expanding services and managing a high caseload.
  • Work closely with technicians to support their professional development and ensure efficient patient care.

Requirements

  • Board certification in critical care or residency training in emergency and critical care.
  • Experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania.
  • Passing scores on the AVMA-accredited State Boards Exam.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
