About the role
Pet Specialists of Monterey (PSM), a BluePearl Hospital, is seeking a Full-time residency trained or board certified (DACVECC) critical care specialist to join our team of thirteen doctors, including seven specialists. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work harmoniously and effectively with other doctors, staff, and referring veterinarians.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care services to hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with other specialists in cardiology, oncology, surgery, and internal medicine
- Contribute to the teaching program through the rotating small animal internship program
- Participate in the operation of the full in-house laboratory, digital radiographs, CT scan, ultrasound, color-flow doppler, telemetry unit, endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and electrosurgical equipment
Requirements
- Residency trained or board certified (DACVECC) in critical care
- Experience in emergency and referral settings preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Qualifications
- DVM degree from an AVMA accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in California
- ACVIM certification in internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, or surgery preferred

Pay
- Average base: $187,000 - $245,000
- No non-compete clause
