About the role

The BEACON - Brevard Employment Application Center ONLINE is seeking a VE-SLD (Victim of Sexual Assault) Specialist to join the Gardendale Separate Day School team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and resources to students affected by sexual assault.
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement strategies for prevention and response.
• Conduct training sessions for faculty and staff on recognizing and responding to sexual assault.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in all interactions with students and families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience working with individuals who have experienced sexual assault.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and policies regarding sexual assault.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications/Certifications

• Certified Sexual Assault Counselor (CSAC).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

• $45.00 per hour.

Schedule

• 10 month contract.
• 8 hours per day.
