About the role
This position is responsible for providing instruction to students with significant learning disabilities.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other special education staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with parents/guardians about student progress.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with significant learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using special education software and tools.
