About the Role
This position is responsible for parking guests’ vehicles in a safe and professional manner at both Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino. Valet attendants warmly greet all guests, including VIPs and Tribal members, upon arrival and deliver the Five Star Experience to guests and fellow team members. Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and all other employees by exceeding the mission statement and delivering the Five Star Experience.
- Greet guests upon arrival and create a positive, welcoming experience.
- Open doors and provide assistance to guests using walkers, wheelchairs, or scooters.
- Park guest vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
- Stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Transport guests safely between property entrances and adjacent parking lots using company golf carts during peak volumes and special events.
- Communicate effectively with Valet Leadership and seek guidance for unusual situations.
- Assist with guest luggage when necessary.
- Inspect vehicles prior to parking for dents, damage, or cleanliness issues.
- Operate various types of vehicles safely, obeying all California traffic laws and property standards.
- Exhibit patience and a calm demeanor while driving guest vehicles.
- Be knowledgeable of all gaming and non-gaming offerings, events, and promotions at Spotlight 29 Casino and Tortoise Rock Casino.
- Act courteously toward guests and fellow team members at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality and lock vehicles after each use.
- Ensure compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS).
- Present a positive image of the Tribal organization to guests and vendors.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, attending scheduled safety meetings and training.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Six (6) months’ experience as a valet attendant or related experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Clean driving record with no serious moving violations, multiple moving violations, DUIs, or suspended licenses; must meet insurability requirements.
- Must pass periodic random drug screens.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background suitability investigation.
- Must obtain a Tribal Gaming License and all other applicable certifications and licenses.
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Occasionally required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and/or push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Occasionally required to perform repetitive movements.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May work in low-light conditions and be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.
Work Environment
- Multiple locations, including 24/7 operations; must be flexible to work any and all hours.
- Must be available for emergency calls 24/7.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Gaming facilities; some locations are not smoke-free.
- Surveillance cameras and audio equipment monitor the premises 24/7.
