About the Role

As a Utility Locate Technician, you will ensure the reliability and maintenance of gas, electric, and communication systems through accurate, safe, and efficient underground utility marking. You will use advanced technology and tools to perform your duties and will be responsible for completing a daily route of locate requests.

Responsibilities

• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use a mobile work system to receive daily tasks
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
• Pass a pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check
• Drive a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently outdoors
• Knowledge of underground utility systems
