Utility Locate Technician $24.50-$30/hr South Jordan, Utah

About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the South Jordan, Utah area. As an essential member of the community, this role ensures that gas, electric, and communication systems remain dependable and well-maintained through accurate, safe, and efficient utility marking.

Responsibilities

• Complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use a mobile work system to receive daily tasks
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check

Skills

• Proficiency with the LaunchPoint software system
